NEW YORK (Reuters Health) - There's new advice for older men who want to preserve their sexual function: have sex, and have it often, researchers say. In a study that followed nearly 1,000 older Finnish men for five years, researchers found that those who were regularly having sex at the start of the study were at lower risk of developing erectile dysfunction (Buy Viagra) by the study's end. In fact, the more often the men had sex, the lower their Buy Generic Viagra risk. The implication, say the researchers, is that men should be encouraged to stay sexually active into their golden years. Dr. Juha Koskimaki and colleagues at the University of Tampere in Finland report the findings in the American Journal of Medicine. The study included 989 men who were between the ages of 55 and 75 at the outset. Overall, those who said they had sex less than once per week were twice as likely to develop ED over the next five years as men who had sex at least once a week. Furthermore, compared with men who had sex three or more times per week, their Order Viagra risk was increased nearly four-fold. A number of factors contribute to ED development, many of which could also affect a man's sexually activity -- such as age, diabetes and heart disease. However, after taking account of those factors, sexual activity itself remained linked to Cheap Viagra risk, Koskimaki's team found. It may be a matter of "use it or lose it," according to the researchers. Just as exercise boosts physical fitness, they note, regular sexual activity may help a man preserve his erectile function. buy viagra online occurs when there are problems with blood flow to the penis. Regular sexual activity, Koskimaki's team writes, may help maintain healthy blood vessel function in the erectile tissue. SOURCE: American Journal of Medicine, July 2008.

Top Trumps

Friday, February 15th, 2002

Back to the eighties today. Bumped into the guys from Keen again today, who were on the show last night. The feedback seems to have been favourable, so I guess the interview was OK. They dropped off some backs of PR goodies - the usual stress squeezies, screwdrivers, lighters and a strange small towel with [...]

Arrogant bastards

Thursday, February 14th, 2002

From today’s Sydney Morning Herald:
Much as it hurts to write a positive story on the Kiwis, we must applaud New Zealand Telecom for at least telling its customers what it really thinks of them. Thin-skinned Auckland businessman James Storrie has lodged a complaint just because when he opened his mobile phone bill on Monday he [...]

Heavy invites

Wednesday, February 13th, 2002

This morning’s post included what must be the heaviest party invite of the year. Sandwiched between two thick pieces of perspex, this rather stylish card must have cost a fortune to post. Very nice, though. Much more eyecatching than an email. I still can’t make it, though, as it’s when I’m hoping to be in [...]

Pancake day

Tuesday, February 12th, 2002

Perhaps moving the room around last night was a bad idea. I lay there in bed looking up at the ceiling, feeling like I was somewhere completely different. The window was on the wrong side of the bed and I could see into the bathroom. The clock that projects the time onto the ceiling was [...]

Spam and chips

Monday, February 11th, 2002

One of the most extraordinary stories in ages hit the news this morning. ActionAid is going to patent a ready-salted chip, which means that it could technically levy a royalty fee on any chip shop selling regular chips but adding salt to them. There are 9,000 chip shops in the UK, so that’s a lot [...]

Trimming the list

Sunday, February 10th, 2002

Today was a utility day, when lots of things got done, drastically shortening the length of my to-do list. I even have a working windscreen wiper now, although that was more to do with driving the car around to mum’s and drinking tea while Andrew screwed on a new one.
I’m very chuffed that it didn’t [...]

Cheese!

Saturday, February 9th, 2002

Princess Margaret has died. I thought Chelmer FM was playing rather dreary music when I switched it on. They were playing ‘I Hope I’m Old Before I Die’ until they realised how inappropriate it was and swapped it out for some hastily cued-up Phil Collins.
The first I knew about it was when the news came [...]

Fluffy dice

Friday, February 8th, 2002

There I was thinking fluffy dice went out with the eighties, but apparently they’re back, big time.
My weather-luck finally ran out this morning and I was trapped at home with rain beating on the window. Wiperless on one side of the car I can’t drive it in the rain and I’ve been home late every [...]

Plush

Thursday, February 7th, 2002

Today’s unlikely email:
Please I have loved to get a PC set from you but not financially bouyant.I,ll be grateful should my request be considered. God will surely bless YOU!
Perhaps he’d like one of these.
I was pleasantly surprised how easy it was to get up for the trail this morning, and I was sitting sipping tea [...]

Things best forgotten

Wednesday, February 6th, 2002

Damn. I got so carried away with finishing my group test (and I am so glad to be finished with it) that I completely forgot about the broken wiper. I meant to leave on time so I could get to Halfords to buy a new one and it completely slipped my mind.
I was lucky today [...]
