Gare de Nimes

Nimes railway station

And so begins our journey home. There’s something surreal about the fact that as soon as we step into that station we’ll be indoors the whole way until we get back to Chelmsford – up through the whole length of France, across Paris, on to the Channel Tunnel, out the other side and through Kent, then across London and from there on to home. All that with only three trains and two tubes. Modern travel is a wonder (and trains are SO much better than planes).
