I ran 7.77km today. That’s about 5 miles and constitutes a record for me. I am 522 calories lighter, but my legs feel as though they have been bashed by someone weilding a heavy mallet. The wisdom of the decision to keep on running so long will be revealed over the next four days as I tramp the streets of Paris. It may well be that I arrive back here early next week as stiff as a board.
