Quite by chance, Leo discovered that the top hit for ‘Microsoft Works 7′ through Google is not the Microsoft site, but a review written by me. I’m sure that will change over time, so as this entry slides down the archives it will eventually prove untrue, but for the moment… how bizarre.

Being the first day in our new desks after the move the morning was of course taken up with the inevitable faffing around with cables and boxes and sorting out the settings on our email. My computer seemed to have mysteriously forgotten everything, including how to create directories, which was a slight worry until someone from ‘upstairs’ came down and made things smiley again.

As a result of it all, though, our floor is very busy now. We’re all wandering around like territorial cats. Not quite scent-marking our boundaries, but certainly working out who belongs where and where our new domains peter out.
