Spent most of the day working on what turned out to be quite a short speech for the awards ceremony on Wednesday. Put in a few jokes, they said, but how you do that when you’re talking about graphics cards and flat panels, I don’t know.

Rather over-cooked dinner (or at least the left overs, that I was making sure were fully cooked through for eating cold tomorrow evening) and left them in for about an hour and a half when they should actually only have had forty minutes.

Spotted a badger on next door’s lawn for the first time since I’ve been here. I’m sure they’ve been here every evening but I’ve been forgetting to watch out.

Paul called the Air Miles people to see if we could get free tickets on the Eurostar for our trip, but they turned out to be quite stingy so I booked two returns through the web site. We’re confirmed both ways, and it was
