More pain on waking. I think the second scraping session really finished me off. I could barely walk and I certainly couldn’t bend down to tie up my laces, so I stuck them inside my shoes and walked on them to stop my shoes falling off.
Hoovered before I could face the shower. I hadn’t dared do it last night - it was so late when I finished working. The hoover was proving unpredictable, which a little investigative digging (literally) revealed was down to the bag being full. Managed to put my thumb through it when prising it out and spewed the contents on the lounge carpet. Dug out the replacements, finished the hoovering, then while standing in the shower spotted some artex I’d missed scraping off.
Took a later-than-usual train into London so I could change at Stratford and take the Jubilee Line around to Green Park and change for Picadilly Circus which at least reduced the length of the hobble slightly. My legs make me feel like I’ve just finished running a marathon.
Fortunately, it was a very sedentary day, spent checking through pages and an enormous section that needs signing off before tomorrow lunchtime.
Came home via B&Q where I had a very successful shopping trip. New lamps for the lounge to replace the battered
