NEW YORK (Reuters Health) - There's new advice for older men who want to preserve their sexual function: have sex, and have it often, researchers say. In a study that followed nearly 1,000 older Finnish men for five years, researchers found that those who were regularly having sex at the start of the study were at lower risk of developing erectile dysfunction (Buy Viagra) by the study's end. In fact, the more often the men had sex, the lower their Buy Generic Viagra risk. The implication, say the researchers, is that men should be encouraged to stay sexually active into their golden years. Dr. Juha Koskimaki and colleagues at the University of Tampere in Finland report the findings in the American Journal of Medicine. The study included 989 men who were between the ages of 55 and 75 at the outset. Overall, those who said they had sex less than once per week were twice as likely to develop ED over the next five years as men who had sex at least once a week. Furthermore, compared with men who had sex three or more times per week, their Order Viagra risk was increased nearly four-fold. A number of factors contribute to ED development, many of which could also affect a man's sexually activity -- such as age, diabetes and heart disease. However, after taking account of those factors, sexual activity itself remained linked to Cheap Viagra risk, Koskimaki's team found. It may be a matter of "use it or lose it," according to the researchers. Just as exercise boosts physical fitness, they note, regular sexual activity may help a man preserve his erectile function. buy viagra online occurs when there are problems with blood flow to the penis. Regular sexual activity, Koskimaki's team writes, may help maintain healthy blood vessel function in the erectile tissue. SOURCE: American Journal of Medicine, July 2008.

Busy buzzy bumble bee

A very busy day. Lots of work things - and on a Saturday, too! Started out trying to get the holiday sorted out first, though - we go a week today, so we’re cutting it fine already. I think I’ve worked a do-able route around the country with hotels in the right places and trains between them. I don’t know whether that’s what we’ll do in the end, but it would be good to get it all booked tomorrow. Mum called to talk about their flight home and remind me when I needed to pick them up. It’s a good job she did - I was going to go to the airport this afternoon and would have been a day early.

The rest of the day was taken up writing reports for work (half of the afternoon) and a new section for the book (the rest of the afternoon). After that, tidying up a few loose ends, then flopping down in front of the telly - at just gone eight! I don’t know where the day has gone. Still, at least it gets me ahead ready for going away, I suppose.

Whiled away the working hours listening to the radio. The sun was streaming in through the window so I put my clockwork radio on the windowsill and let the light falling on the solar panel power it most of the aftenoon. When the clouds came across I dug out some old LINK FM tapes. I think my presenting style has definately improved, but that’s not difficult. I was about 17 at the time and had that nervous habit of interrupting people in the middle of every sentence. Hmmm.

My music tastes have changed a lot since then, too. Lots of rock back then. I seem to remember something about having a leather jacket, too…

I was on a lot of the adverts and jingles, which sounds a bit dodgy - a bit like I’m taking a break from the presenting to do some manic breathless monologue over cheesy music.
