Last night’s pubbing turned out to be far more than just a quick drink to see Laura. We met in the Midas Touch on Golden Square and it seems half the industry was there, with T3, PCW, PC Pro, PC Advisor, Laura’s James Bond magazine and a heap of freelancers sat around the table.
Jason regailed us with tales of the parachute jump he did in Switzerland last week. It all sounded very serene and almost tempting. I think it’s one of those things I’d like to be able to say I’ve done more than to actually do, but it’s not nearly as offputting as bungie-jumping, another one of those things it would be good to be able to brag about.
I was far from the first to leave, but still got home in time to get the longest night’s sleep I’ve had in weeks, even though I did end up revising my facts for this morning’s piece on the breakfast show after all. So much for spending the journey home working on it…
The morning was swallowed up by another series of meetings, and the afternoon with printer testing - a slow and repetitive task that gives ample time to look for good deals on Icelandic car hire while keeping an eye on the stopwatch.
