Hmmm… well, quite busy, actually, none of which can be written about just yet. Lots more late nights, and long days, though, so today - Saturday - was quite a relief.
Unfortunately I’d booked in an appointment with the vet to take in the increasingly bald cat for its jabs. Her whole underside is hairless now, more or less, but still the vet says it’s nothing more than stress - excessive licking is apparently the cat equivalent of biting your fingernails, apparently - so it’s nothing to worry about.
On the other hand, he did offer us some feline prozac…
I should have come straight home and spent the day getting on with things that have fallen by the wayside for the last month - like tidying up and going to the gym - but I stayed for breakfast, faffed around for an hour and a bit, then slowly mooched back to the flat by way of Sainsbury’s, which was full of obnoxious children and their obnoxious parents in mono-tone flannelette track suits.
Anyhow, the tidying got done in the end. It had to. Mark and Ja are around this evening - or at least they will be - which is why everything is now sparkly and gleaming and there is something large in the oven, encased in puff pastry.
The site changes are starting to take shape, too. I’m working on a new layout that’s entirely CSS based. I’ve tweaked this table-based layout countless times over the last three years and it’s starting to creak now. It’s not ready for swapping out onto the front page just yet, but if you want to monitor progress, it’s taking shape at www.nik.co.uk/test.php.
