It is traditional, when you leave a magazine, for one of your parting presents to be a cover of the magazine, done up as though the whole mag was about yourself. If you work for Vogue this probably means you have a beautifully airbrushed portrait of yourself looking 5kg lighter, accompanied by some flattering headlines about style and grace.
If you’re an IT journalist… no such luck. And so here is mine, complete with references to my hatred of tea from Gouldies, but addiction to the stuff when bought from just about anywhere else, my love of Bond films, my defection to MacUser and a passing reference to a letter from a reader that compared me - in looks - to Montgomery Burns from the Simpsons.
Hmmm.
A couple of the pictures could have done with being airbrushed off it altogether rather than just tweaked at the edges but it’ll be going up in pride of place on a wall in my study.
