NEW YORK (Reuters Health) - There's new advice for older men who want to preserve their sexual function: have sex, and have it often, researchers say. In a study that followed nearly 1,000 older Finnish men for five years, researchers found that those who were regularly having sex at the start of the study were at lower risk of developing erectile dysfunction (Buy Viagra) by the study's end. In fact, the more often the men had sex, the lower their Buy Generic Viagra risk. The implication, say the researchers, is that men should be encouraged to stay sexually active into their golden years. Dr. Juha Koskimaki and colleagues at the University of Tampere in Finland report the findings in the American Journal of Medicine. The study included 989 men who were between the ages of 55 and 75 at the outset. Overall, those who said they had sex less than once per week were twice as likely to develop ED over the next five years as men who had sex at least once a week. Furthermore, compared with men who had sex three or more times per week, their Order Viagra risk was increased nearly four-fold. A number of factors contribute to ED development, many of which could also affect a man's sexually activity -- such as age, diabetes and heart disease. However, after taking account of those factors, sexual activity itself remained linked to Cheap Viagra risk, Koskimaki's team found. It may be a matter of "use it or lose it," according to the researchers. Just as exercise boosts physical fitness, they note, regular sexual activity may help a man preserve his erectile function. buy viagra online occurs when there are problems with blood flow to the penis. Regular sexual activity, Koskimaki's team writes, may help maintain healthy blood vessel function in the erectile tissue. SOURCE: American Journal of Medicine, July 2008.

Escape from the Magic Kingdom

Warning sign at the Disneyland TGV station

That picture is at the Disneyland TGV and Eurostar station. It must be the only one of its kind on the network, and I love the way that Mickey’s smug winky face changes when he’s being electrocuted. It’s actually a warning about short-circuiting the lines if you let go of your helium-filled, metallic balloon.

Fortunately our train yesterday wasn’t until almost noon, so we could have a little lay in after our night at Hurricanes, and then a leisurely breakfast. It was packed when it arrived, but the Eurostar, which had come from Brussels and we picked up at Lille, was less than a quarter full, so we had plenty of room to kick back and stretch our legs.

I would have loved to head straight home and sleep away the whole weekend, but I’d arranged to meet David and go to the Thingbox first birthday party at Potion, so I went back to his for a quick shower and a curry before bussing back into town.

I’m not sure I was such good company. I felt utterly worn out after this last week, so spent half the time gazing at what was going on around me, and the rest of it saying the most utterly foolish things. I’m sure I made a slightly unwise impression. We stayed until half-midnightish, at which time David was still more than just moist after an immature cretin threw a pint in his face.

Fortunately it was a warm evening, so as we walked back down through Soho, past Parliament, across the Thames and down to Bar Code opposite the MI6 building - James Bond’s office - in Vauxhall. It is a large venue, which only opened this week, and as it was half two by the time we arrived, was starting to clear out. So, we stayed for a single drink each, then continued our walk south back to Brixton, where I slumped onto David’s settee cushions and had my first good night’s sleep in a week.

Needless to say, this morning was fairly unproductive, and it was gone noon before I headed for home at the end of what has turned out to be a very good week indeed.
