NEW YORK (Reuters Health) - There's new advice for older men who want to preserve their sexual function: have sex, and have it often, researchers say. In a study that followed nearly 1,000 older Finnish men for five years, researchers found that those who were regularly having sex at the start of the study were at lower risk of developing erectile dysfunction (Buy Viagra) by the study's end. In fact, the more often the men had sex, the lower their Buy Generic Viagra risk. The implication, say the researchers, is that men should be encouraged to stay sexually active into their golden years. Dr. Juha Koskimaki and colleagues at the University of Tampere in Finland report the findings in the American Journal of Medicine. The study included 989 men who were between the ages of 55 and 75 at the outset. Overall, those who said they had sex less than once per week were twice as likely to develop ED over the next five years as men who had sex at least once a week. Furthermore, compared with men who had sex three or more times per week, their Order Viagra risk was increased nearly four-fold. A number of factors contribute to ED development, many of which could also affect a man's sexually activity -- such as age, diabetes and heart disease. However, after taking account of those factors, sexual activity itself remained linked to Cheap Viagra risk, Koskimaki's team found. It may be a matter of "use it or lose it," according to the researchers. Just as exercise boosts physical fitness, they note, regular sexual activity may help a man preserve his erectile function. buy viagra online occurs when there are problems with blood flow to the penis. Regular sexual activity, Koskimaki's team writes, may help maintain healthy blood vessel function in the erectile tissue. SOURCE: American Journal of Medicine, July 2008.

Euro2004

Hmmm… so England beat the Czech Republic 4:2 tonight, which means I’ll be watching England v Portugal on Thursday. Apparently this is a “Good Thing”, and Chris of the Brennan has been encouraging me to learn a chant that goes (roughly) along the lines of ‘Engerlund Engerlund Engerlund’.

Repeat as necessary, varying pitch and tone, preferably while holding a canap

Well sort of… The chances are the Portugal game will be a bit niggily as the saying goes. Pie would be much more appropriate.

  2. Christopher Phin Says:

Do you think they’ll have pies in Portugal? Is some sort of crayfish-and-olive-oil-based delicacy not more in keeping with the national diet?

Or do you think they’ve cottoned on, and shipped a few palettes of pies over specially for the tastebud-deficient English?

    Nick
I am glad that I have found another man who has just about as much grasp of the game as football as I have. However, we will have to own that the excitement can be quite catching, especially if we are watching it with other people who love and value the game.

  4. Ian Betteridge Says:

Oh fer gawds sake, what on earth possessed me to quit as editor the year before a major football tournament?

  5. Kev Says:

There is one bonus to seeing England playing Portugal. The best looking man in the world will be on the pitch and you will no doubt get closer to him than I ever have done. Christiano Ronaldo; he’ll have the number 17 shirt - look out for him, he’ll be instrumental in any Portugal glory.

  6. Krist Says:

You know, I think you are just about the only man I’d ever listen to talking about football…

  7. Pete Says:

Hate to be pedantic, but being half-Czech I’d like to point out that it was Croatia that England beat on Monday night.

  8. Christopher Brennan Says:

Just to let you know that even in a weeks time the result will cause me to weep so please leave me alone.

  9. Krist Says:

    Oh, really! It’s JUST football…

  10. Christopher Brennan Says:

JUST football? (Raises eyes to ceiling)

    *evil grin*

Euro2004 is as if made for Christiano Ronaldo. He is the most attractive player among all. The dancing feet and great anticipation including changing position either in left or right with same skill, proves that Christiano Ronaldo is the no.1 in the world.
