Fit
I feel very righteous for getting up at a decent time and being at the gym before most of Chelmsford was even awake. It didn’t feel so good at the time - my legs were still asleep and came slowly to life on the treadmill. Early Saturday morning is a good time to go as apart from the parents with kids (who thankfully confine themselves to the pool) there are very few people there.
I felt much better after a scalding shower and popped around to mum’s for tea, then lunch, while I fiddled on her computer and showed her the pictures I took in Stornoway. Everyone who sees the picture of the town from across the harbour remarks on how nice the town looks. I think that has more to do with the framing of the image than the actual layout of the town itself, though, as moving a few degrees to the right of this:

I couldn’t stay too long. Mum and Andrew were off out, and Paul and I are due at Sal and Dan’s for Dan’s birthday barbeque at five, so I picked up the Amazon order I’d had sent there and raced home to play the CD I’d ordered: Kemopetrol, Slowed Down. Brodyboy put one of their songs on his site and after downloading it I had to have the whole album. It’s quite haunting in places - especially “African Air”, but an album I’m pretty sure is going to be one of my favourites.
