Taking my life in my hands, I tried voice over IP on the breakfast show this morning. I think it went OK. Everyone pronounced - their - words - very - care-full-y to make sure we could hear each other properly, and apart from a slight echo I think we got away with it, proving that making phone calls through the Internet rather than a phone really does work. I got up half an hour early to make sure all my volume levels were right and I wasn’t getting any feedback and now I’m exhausted.

I think the show this evening went rather well, too. Gordon is still away in Las Vegas for Comdex so we had a chat by phone for the last fifteen minutes of the show, which was fun. The rest of the time flew by. Loads of calls, which is always encouraging, and unfortunately we couldn’t squeeze some of them in. There are plenty of emails left over for next week, too, so it looks like it’ll be a busy show.

Leo came in to do the news, which made for an easy opening half hour.

An early night tonight, I think, to make sure I make my LINX meeting on time tomorrow morning. I could do with getting in and out of there pretty quick so I can get back to the office for the last bit of tidy-up before the weekend move.

It’s really bitterly cold today. Winter has well and truly set in.
