Going well

Today has been good. Lots of problems have been resolved, and even though I was very happy with my column by the time I’d finished it last night I found what would have made an even better subject this morning, so wrote a new one from scratch and have filed away yesterday’s less time-sensitive efforts for use next month, which is a good thing anyway, as I’ll be in Lithuania when it’s due with Production.
I have food guilt today. I was tempted towards the Danishes this morning, then had cake mid-afternoon. After yesterday’s cake and lunch out my food to fitness ratio is seriously unbalanced, in spite of this morning’s gym trip. Fortunately I’m not disciplined enough to be bullimic, which is something at least.
Was pleasantly surprised, but at the same time quite shocked, to see a flat the same as mine for sale on an online estate agent for about 125% more than I paid for mine. In five years it has more than doubled in value. If I was a first time buyer now I’d just about be able to afford a garden shed at these prices, and that would be pushing.
A headline I read over an anonymous shoulder on the tube this morning predicted house prices would continue to rise for the next twenty years, but I can’t see that happen. Twenty weeks, perhaps. Twenty months if we’re very (un)lucky, but twenty years?
Hmmm…
Gentle reminder that my tax is due from the online service I used to file my return last year. Apparently they have filled in half of my form for this year already using the details I provided last time around. Now that’s an idea I like.
