NEW YORK (Reuters Health) - There's new advice for older men who want to preserve their sexual function: have sex, and have it often, researchers say. In a study that followed nearly 1,000 older Finnish men for five years, researchers found that those who were regularly having sex at the start of the study were at lower risk of developing erectile dysfunction (Buy Viagra) by the study's end. In fact, the more often the men had sex, the lower their Buy Generic Viagra risk. The implication, say the researchers, is that men should be encouraged to stay sexually active into their golden years. Dr. Juha Koskimaki and colleagues at the University of Tampere in Finland report the findings in the American Journal of Medicine. The study included 989 men who were between the ages of 55 and 75 at the outset. Overall, those who said they had sex less than once per week were twice as likely to develop ED over the next five years as men who had sex at least once a week. Furthermore, compared with men who had sex three or more times per week, their Order Viagra risk was increased nearly four-fold. A number of factors contribute to ED development, many of which could also affect a man's sexually activity -- such as age, diabetes and heart disease. However, after taking account of those factors, sexual activity itself remained linked to Cheap Viagra risk, Koskimaki's team found. It may be a matter of "use it or lose it," according to the researchers. Just as exercise boosts physical fitness, they note, regular sexual activity may help a man preserve his erectile function. buy viagra online occurs when there are problems with blood flow to the penis. Regular sexual activity, Koskimaki's team writes, may help maintain healthy blood vessel function in the erectile tissue. SOURCE: American Journal of Medicine, July 2008.

Goodbye Wendy, Goodbye Sean

I slept through my very loud alarm for an hour and a half. I think all the excitement of yesterday must have worn me out. I was late for work, of course, but ended up working lunch and late, which made up for it. Gordon (Thorn, ex-labs) popped in with some surprising facial hair for a chat about life and web design, and I opened up my mail to find a lottery ticket for tomorrow from Kyocera.

We popped upstairs late afternoon to say goodbye to publisher Sean who is off to travel the world and watch every kind of sport you could name, then did the same an hour later with Wendy, our deputy art editor, who if off to do more businessy things. She mooched off with the rest of the team to drink Vodka in Revolution, but Mark was stuck testing cameras in the lab so I hung back to save him arriving on his own and helped him pack the fridge full of fruit so it wouldn’t go off by Monday.

It turns out it was Revolution’s first official night - last night had been the launch party - so the staff were a little less than au fait with the tills and it took some time to get served. It was a fun place, though, even if the paint on the hand rails had powdered on the underside. We got it on our fingers, and over the course of the evening it moved from our fingers to our faces and we ended up looking like we’d been face-painted.

It’s a long time since I’ve had a drink drink after work. I only had one but was still paranoid about driving home, so I had a beanburger to mop up any residual fumes when I got to Liverpool Street, and spent the journey home fighting off waves of sleep.
