Gordon returns

The breakfast show trail went well. A bit of fun, a few laughs, no difficult questions. I was in the middle of doing the washing up and they rang me a bit early to listen to the caller they were talking to before me in case they wanted to ask me anything about it, but in the end nobody did. Just as well, really.
Got to the office and opened my post, and did the first of my appraisals. Five to go, and then the notes to write up. The rest of the day was spent tying up loose ends. It always gets like this towards the end of an issue.
The show went well, I think. Gordon was back from his travels, so we had plenty to catch up on. It’s always far more fun doing the show as a pair than separately. Will came in and we loaded up the video stream of the cars passing his house on his web site. Being half seven it was dark, of course, so you could only see the occasional headlight. Not very dramatic.
I’m getting really battered by a virus at the moment. It’s the first time I’ve been glad to be running Outlook XP, with its code-blocking functions. It keeps on showing me blank emails with little notes at the top about malicious code. Six times at home and twice in the office at the last count. Norton is taking care of things at the office, but I need to buy a virus checker for home.
It’s national cranberry week, apparently. Men dressed in big Ocean Spray cartons raided the office and tried to ply us all with little cups of juice.
I told them I’d had it before.
