Half five!

It was sunny at half five this morning. I was awake, I was up, so I know. I decided that if I’m going to fit this book writing around all the other things that seem to have suddenly sprung up it’s going to have to be done before work.
So, between then and stepping onto a train I put down 1,717 words and sailed past the 90,000 word mark to 91,046. Not bad, I don’t think.
Only trouble is, it almost wiped me out for the rest of the day. I plodded through from 10 till 6, then slowed right down in the pilates class. I made good progress at my desk, and did good pelvic floor type things in the class, but I could happily have slept through either, so I’m wondering whether this strategy needs a rethink.
The 5.30 weather didn’t last, though. It held out most of the morning when we were all chained to our desks, then as we stepped out for lunch the sky broke open and down came the rain. We huddled under umbrellas and ran to Dickens & Jones where the girls wanted to look at shoes in the sale, and talked me into buying a new shirt. Bright red with white writing on the front. It looks good with my black jeans, but might clash with the green, but they assured me that you only need have one pair of trousers go with any shirt to make it worthwhile.
I’m sure there’s some logic there, but I still blame them for leading me astray. This is the second time in a row they’ve taken me out to the shops and helped me spend my money.

Welcome home
Try gym and writing book in early mornings then when you have finished work you have relax time all night. Gyms are full of old biddies before 9am so the added bonus of being the youngest and fittest there really helps the motivation.
Every time I buy a shirt a shirt (even tee shirt), I take it home and try it on with *every* pair of trousers I own so as to pre-assign outfits. have.

Oy, I don’t believe you, Kev. I don’t even do that. The added bonus of buying something that doesn’t match anything you have is that you get to go and buy something additional that fits with that special garment. I am sure you agree!
