NEW YORK (Reuters Health) - There's new advice for older men who want to preserve their sexual function: have sex, and have it often, researchers say. In a study that followed nearly 1,000 older Finnish men for five years, researchers found that those who were regularly having sex at the start of the study were at lower risk of developing erectile dysfunction (Buy Viagra) by the study's end. In fact, the more often the men had sex, the lower their Buy Generic Viagra risk. The implication, say the researchers, is that men should be encouraged to stay sexually active into their golden years. Dr. Juha Koskimaki and colleagues at the University of Tampere in Finland report the findings in the American Journal of Medicine. The study included 989 men who were between the ages of 55 and 75 at the outset. Overall, those who said they had sex less than once per week were twice as likely to develop ED over the next five years as men who had sex at least once a week. Furthermore, compared with men who had sex three or more times per week, their Order Viagra risk was increased nearly four-fold. A number of factors contribute to ED development, many of which could also affect a man's sexually activity -- such as age, diabetes and heart disease. However, after taking account of those factors, sexual activity itself remained linked to Cheap Viagra risk, Koskimaki's team found. It may be a matter of "use it or lose it," according to the researchers. Happy Birthday Leo

Leo’s birthday meant Danish pastries. My first birthday on PCW I bought donuts, too, and everyone was very surprised. Nobody ever bought birthday cakes again until today. Perhaps that’s why they were surprised. It was only polits to follow my teacake with one of Leo’s cinnamon swirls and ended up feeling fat and squidgy for the rest of the morning, especially as the waking-miracle hadn’t happened and I’d slept too late for the gym. We went to Masala Zone for mild curries at lunchtime and I made a fool of myself for pointing out the random ex-EastEnders actress a little too obviously.

Spent the rest of the day working on the group test and wondering about this week’s show. Gordon is away again so I’ve got to find a full two hours’ worth of guests. A couple of promising leads, but very little in the way of firm bookings yet. Apart from Penguin. I’m starting to like them more and more. I’ll have to pitch them some book ideas…

Submitted the text and pictures of my book. 94 images in total, but a mid-afternoon phone call indicated they’d not gone through properly. Somehow the distant result comprised only 4KB. I sent a smaller number again to test and it worked, so I’ll have to send them all again tomorrow in little batches.

We gave Leo his present at the end of the day; Clive gets his tomorrow. He probably thought he’d avoided that embarassement by being away. I stayed back to work on what I’d say at tomorrow’s interview for the Editor job. Andy and Debbie came over and made some suggestions, which was very nice of them.

Gym-ed after work. It was busy. You get a very mixed crowd there at that time of night. A mixture of the pale wobblies and the hyper-fit chiselled tans with seemingly nothing in between. Felt good to be there, though, and I ran a fairly zippy 3.25km, so went home feeling springy to think of some more show ideas.

    I found it rather amusing to see the result of Nik writing the words ‘Eastenders’ and ‘Leo’ in the same post.

    Grieving teens desperately trying to track their deceased TV-idol, who in case you didn’t know is the 16 year old luv-pup from Eastenders who overdosed on Heroin last week (not in real life).
