NEW YORK (Reuters Health) - There's new advice for older men who want to preserve their sexual function: have sex, and have it often, researchers say. In a study that followed nearly 1,000 older Finnish men for five years, researchers found that those who were regularly having sex at the start of the study were at lower risk of developing erectile dysfunction (Buy Viagra) by the study's end. In fact, the more often the men had sex, the lower their Buy Generic Viagra risk. The implication, say the researchers, is that men should be encouraged to stay sexually active into their golden years. Dr. Juha Koskimaki and colleagues at the University of Tampere in Finland report the findings in the American Journal of Medicine. The study included 989 men who were between the ages of 55 and 75 at the outset. Overall, those who said they had sex less than once per week were twice as likely to develop ED over the next five years as men who had sex at least once a week. Furthermore, compared with men who had sex three or more times per week, their Order Viagra risk was increased nearly four-fold. A number of factors contribute to ED development, many of which could also affect a man's sexually activity -- such as age, diabetes and heart disease. However, after taking account of those factors, sexual activity itself remained linked to Cheap Viagra risk, Koskimaki's team found. It may be a matter of "use it or lose it," according to the researchers. Just as exercise boosts physical fitness, they note, regular sexual activity may help a man preserve his erectile function. buy viagra online occurs when there are problems with blood flow to the penis. Regular sexual activity, Koskimaki's team writes, may help maintain healthy blood vessel function in the erectile tissue. SOURCE: American Journal of Medicine, July 2008.

Mixed blessings

I didn’t think the breakfast show call was actually going to come. I’d made a disgusting cup of tea and was sitting in the study so I could be near a landline (all the other phones here apart from the one in the kitchen seem to be the walkabout type) playing Solitaire and watching the clock. 7.50 came and went and I was on the verge of calling my answerphone to see if they’d rung there by mistake and left a message, but then remembered I don’t know how to access it remotely. I’ve only had it a week and not read the instructions yet. Anyway, I sat there a couple more minutes feeling all redundant and losing the game when they eventually rang. From the phone ringing to being on air was about 20 seconds in all - has to be a record. Good job I was ready.

It’s all very nice living up here on the hill while I cat sit, but getting to the station in the morning is a real pain. If you go to the gym it’s not so bad because it’s so early, but this morning, driving down there after the trail, was awful - about thirty minutes in all, on a journey that would probably take at most a third of that on clear roads.

I had a meeting first thing so didn’t get into the office until half eleven and settled down to yet more proofs. They seem to form the bulk of my life at the moment. I went for a long walk with Wendy at lunchtime. We went down to Gabys just off Leicester Square for falafel and then walked along Old Compton Street and into Soho Square. We didn’t sit down - there was nobody worth watching and the grass looked damp. We went back by way of the tea shop for something to drink while we munched far too many of the chocolates Jason brought back from Spain. All the good of my 115 sit-ups yesterday morning has now most definately been undone.

After a pretty awful fish burger from the canteen, the show went fairly well. Less guests than usual, but that gave us more time for phone calls and emails. We had loads and couldn’t get through them all. It’s the usual story of when you take one or two they all suddenly flood in, which is great. That’s definately the most fun part of the show.

In the end we didn’t get to do the story I’d trailled on the breakfast show, so I’ll try and get that one sorted out for next week. I’m not going to have buckets of time to work on that show. I think I’ll have to try and get most of it sorted out tomorrow and Monday.
