Off to Lithuania

Well, that has to be the quickest unpacking, washing, drying and repacking of clothes in the history of my washing machine. Practically everything I took to Iceland is now clean and back in my travel back ready for Lithuania.

Whether we get there or not is another matter. The M25 is closed at Heathrow because a chemical tanker has spilled its load on the road, creating massive queues. That’s not so bad, as we’re flying from Gatwick and I bet they are diverting flights, which will hold us up.

Of course, we have to get to Gatwick first, and as there are 12 miles of queues on this side of the M25, too, that’s by no means a certainty.

In the interests of catching my flight, I suspect right now may be the most appropriate time to leave…
