NEW YORK (Reuters Health) - There's new advice for older men who want to preserve their sexual function: have sex, and have it often, researchers say. In a study that followed nearly 1,000 older Finnish men for five years, researchers found that those who were regularly having sex at the start of the study were at lower risk of developing erectile dysfunction (Buy Viagra) by the study's end. In fact, the more often the men had sex, the lower their Buy Generic Viagra risk. The implication, say the researchers, is that men should be encouraged to stay sexually active into their golden years. Dr. Juha Koskimaki and colleagues at the University of Tampere in Finland report the findings in the American Journal of Medicine. The study included 989 men who were between the ages of 55 and 75 at the outset. Overall, those who said they had sex less than once per week were twice as likely to develop ED over the next five years as men who had sex at least once a week. Furthermore, compared with men who had sex three or more times per week, their Order Viagra risk was increased nearly four-fold. A number of factors contribute to ED development, many of which could also affect a man's sexually activity -- such as age, diabetes and heart disease. However, after taking account of those factors, sexual activity itself remained linked to Cheap Viagra risk, Koskimaki's team found. It may be a matter of "use it or lose it," according to the researchers. Just as exercise boosts physical fitness, they note, regular sexual activity may help a man preserve his erectile function. buy viagra online occurs when there are problems with blood flow to the penis. Regular sexual activity, Koskimaki's team writes, may help maintain healthy blood vessel function in the erectile tissue. SOURCE: American Journal of Medicine, July 2008.

Poorly

Woke up with a poorly head. I have an awful cold. I know just where it came from, too: on our last night in Paris there were two sets of people eating at the table next to us who spent the whole time blowing their noses. Yesterday was the sore throat, today it’s the busy nose.

The trains were bad again, too. Delayed almost an hour yesterday because of a signal failure at Bethnal Green, and then almost another hour this morning for exactly the same thing. Ooh, it’s whinge whinge whinge today, but when you’ve spent two weeks zizzing around on the hyper fast, hyper efficient French trains the UK railways just don’t compare. Had to tell a woman off on Chelmsford platform for pushing me forward when we were waiting for people to get off the train. She accused me of leaning on her and then proceeded to make very childish ‘ooh’ noises behind my back until we found our seats.

On a brighter note, the self-sufficiency lunch regime got off to a good start, with the pasta salad holding out until lunchtime in the dodgy office fridge. It could have done with a bit of cheese, so tomorrow I’ll put the secret weapon into action - my parmasan shaker, which should soak up some of the excess juice.

Riyad’s notice period finally came to an end, so we had the usual card and presentation thingie just before the end of the day, and then a team evacuation to the pub. I was asked to do the speech on account of the fact I would probably know more ‘amusing stories’ about him, but couldn’t come up with anything. I am very jealous of his travelling plans. Russia, China, Australia, Asia. I’ve always fancied the train from Moscow to Beijing. I bet it runs quicker than the trains into London.

Met Gordon at the pub and he filled me in on what I’d missed on the show the last couple of weeks. It all sounded very funny and I wish I’d been able to hear it. All but fifteen minutes of this week’s show is filled so far, which isn’t bad for a Tuesday.

Had the presence of a slight tan confirmed by a member of the sales team, so I guess the weather was OK all in all.
