The online poll on the This is London site today asked how much work you were going to do - none at all, only when the boss is watching, it’s a notmal day, or as much as Santa’s elves. 6% of the population took option four, including the eight of us in the office. The printers shut down over Christmas, so we’ve still got loads of pages to get sorted before we break up.
More sparkly PR presents today, including a sinister-looking black vodka.
I left 20 minutes early, to get home and pick up the bedding from mum before dad arrived for his Christmas stay. Half way there the lights on my dashboard flickered out, and no amount of fiddling with the fuses would make any difference. So, I left it there and nabbed a lift home. I’ll have to pick it up tomorrow evening, when hopefully it’ll have regained its eyesight.
Of course, as my car wasn’t in the car park dad never realised I was home, so sat waiting for an hour and a half before he tried my bell. Cheered him up with pizza and the news he’d need to give me a lift to Tesco at 11 for some late-night shopping. I refuse to fight the queues tomorrow afternoon.
