What I was doing still up gone midnight and awake at almost one last night, I don’t know, but it made waking up and getting up a particularly unpleasant experience. Nevertheless, I’d showered, shaved and dressed before the breakfast trail with Simon and I think it went well.
I picked up Paul on the way to the station - he’s out drinking tonight - and we spent twenty fiveminutes crawling through dangerous drivers to the station. A van with a trailer cut me up at a roundabout and went right across two lanes. I had to slam on the brakes and move into the hatched area that kept us separate from the lane he apparently wanted to be in.
Still, at least the trains were running on time and I arrived at work to find a very nice email from the railway people clarifying my 1918 query but signing off with a rather strict disclaimer:

There was a minor flurry of URL swapping at lunchtime, during which we came across this classic piece of book reviewing on Amazon.com. The book in question is Trust, the Hand Book : A Guide to the Sensual and Spiritual Art of Handballing:
I bought this as a fit athletic fellow, hoping to learn a new sport. I must say, that this book is not about atheletic in the normal sense. It involves a man inserting his hand into the…I can’t go on…of his homosexual partner. I was disgusted at first, but intriged. I have now place my first personal ad, inviting handsome fellows to ball games.
A fun show this evening. It felt really good to be back and we had some laid back guests who were relaxed enough to have a laught with us. One guy gave Gordon a fit of the giggles when he was talking about selling back-end services.
I can’t possibly imagine what he meant.
I was having caffine shakes at the time.
I am completely baffled by BT. I’ve been trying to pay my (red) bill online but can’t work out the site. It asks for your phone number, which isn’t on the bill, and I don’t know it offhand. I’m sure it was on the original blue bill, so perhaps this is their way of making sure you don’t pay late. It also wants your account number - two letters followed by eight digits, apparently. On the red bill you have to look very hard to find the two letters, as on mine, just after the word Reminder it only gives you the eight digits.
Hmmm.
Anyway, I worked it out in the end, but then there are so many payment options I gave up. I can’t possibly remember what I signed up to when I put in for the line.
I’ll give them a call tomorrow.
Which should make them some money.
Aah - now I get it…
