NEW YORK (Reuters Health) - There's new advice for older men who want to preserve their sexual function: have sex, and have it often, researchers say. In a study that followed nearly 1,000 older Finnish men for five years, researchers found that those who were regularly having sex at the start of the study were at lower risk of developing erectile dysfunction (Buy Viagra) by the study's end. In fact, the more often the men had sex, the lower their Buy Generic Viagra risk. The implication, say the researchers, is that men should be encouraged to stay sexually active into their golden years. Dr. Juha Koskimaki and colleagues at the University of Tampere in Finland report the findings in the American Journal of Medicine. The study included 989 men who were between the ages of 55 and 75 at the outset. Overall, those who said they had sex less than once per week were twice as likely to develop ED over the next five years as men who had sex at least once a week. Furthermore, compared with men who had sex three or more times per week, their Order Viagra risk was increased nearly four-fold. A number of factors contribute to ED development, many of which could also affect a man's sexually activity -- such as age, diabetes and heart disease. However, after taking account of those factors, sexual activity itself remained linked to Cheap Viagra risk, Koskimaki's team found. It may be a matter of "use it or lose it," according to the researchers. Just as exercise boosts physical fitness, they note, regular sexual activity may help a man preserve his erectile function. buy viagra online occurs when there are problems with blood flow to the penis. Regular sexual activity, Koskimaki's team writes, may help maintain healthy blood vessel function in the erectile tissue. SOURCE: American Journal of Medicine, July 2008.

So-so

Hmmm… a so-so weekend. Very nice breakfast with mum yesterday, followed by a trip into the loft to get rid of some boxes, and pick up the monitor I won on Wednesday night (delivered far quicker than anything I’ve ever actually bought - strange, that) then off to a surprisingly empty tip to dump a surprisingly full bootful of rubbish. It’s amazing what you hang on to when it should really have been thrown out years ago.

Of course hanging onto things in someone else’s attic is a terrible temptation since they don’t clutter up your own flat.

Out to dinner at Trevor and Jon’s in the evening. Much talk is cats and holidays, and we intended to watch a film, but we ended up sitting at the table all night eating vegetarian trifle, nibbling Thorntons chocolates and sipping cups of tea.

Lots of harking back to times gone by and leaving through photos, then realising that in spite of the fact some of them were twelve or more years old they featured much of the furniture on which we were sitting.

In bed by midnight to accommodate an early, busy start this morning. More rain, of course, being a Sunday which, if experience of the last three or months is anything to go by, is turning out to be the wettest day of the week.

Read through the Sunday papers over a coffee and toast, then worked very hard on writing cues for the show. It was one of those adrenaline mornings when you’re still writing right up until the moment you go on air. I’m fairly convinced this is a good thing, as it keeps it all fresh in your mind. If you’re ready too early you’re all geed up to go an hour too soon, then kick back with a cup of tea and the mood is gone.

Was supposed to be meeting Ursula, Albert and Mike, but by the end of the show, having left a couple of messages, was still waiting to hear back, so decided to head off into the melee of Christmas shoppers and kill time while I waited.

Mooched down to a very festive Covent Garden and would have bought the perfect present in the undercover market had the cash machine not run out of money when a woman pushed to the front of the queue and withdrawn
