Today went so according to plan that it was almost mundane. The trail in the breakfast show went well. It was short, but compact and got the message across. My train ran more or less to time, with only a short pause at the half-way mark and I was in work 20 minutes before the day began. I wrote a toned-down version of that rather angry book-related email I’d been planning to send yesterday (I’m sure it’ll all backfire horribly) and sent all of my book amendments to my publisher.
This evening’s show was a lot of fun. Some of the guests were quite techie, but I think it was all balanced pretty fairly and I think we explained most of the technical jargon. We had Roger in to do the news, which is always fun. He had brought his digital camera with him and he took some truly awful pictures of me and Gordon. I couldn’t stop grinning, which didn’t make for realistic ‘action’ shots, but at least I looked happy.
Even my train home ran to time, which was quite an achievement - two good journeys on the same day. Surely this is a one-off.
