Back to the eighties today. Bumped into the guys from Keen again today, who were on the show last night. The feedback seems to have been favourable, so I guess the interview was OK. They dropped off some backs of PR goodies - the usual stress squeezies, screwdrivers, lighters and a strange small towel with a loop on it for hanging somewhere. None of us can quite work out what it’s for, but it could be for hanging by the bed in case of amorous moment. Whatever, though, top marks has to go to the inspired choice of throwing in a pack of Top Trumps. Sadly, it was motor sports - the same in every bag - but everyone agreed it was the best gift of the lot.

I’m rather tempted to take them with me to the frozen wastes of northern England. I’m off to Manchester for the weekend. It’s my dad’s birthday, which happily coincides with the 25th anniversary of the company he works for, so I’ll be email-less and Internet-free until Sunday. If I get desperate I have wap on my phone.

It’s been a light day for spam. Quite refreshing after the rest of the week. 178 spams to my personal email address since Monday. Not bad. If I took the work address (which today included an anonymous Valentines message that it was impossible to decode) then it would be much higher.
