I slept off last night’s late night through most of the morning, waking at six thirty, some time after eight and then just before the alarm went off at eleven. By then it was way too late for breakfast, so I skipped it in favour of lunch and downloaded my email. Rather curiously, there was an autoresponse to an email I had apparently sent just after six last night. I know I didn’t do this, because at the time I was at the pub. I have had a lot of strange emails like that. Quite a few apparently being sent from my account to someone in Germany but stalling on his or her server and bouncing back.

Hmmm.

I decided I ought to check out whether I’ve got a virus hanging around in my inbox somewhere, so browsed the various virus web sites and ended up downloading the electronic version of McAfee VirusScan.
