Video killed the radio star

OK, now fun though last night most certainly was, it didn’t make getting up early for this morning’s breakfast show feature a pleasant experience in any way, shape or form. I did it, though, and it seems it went OK. Gordon caught it and said it sounded fine.

Spent most of the day perfecting my column. It’s been a tricky one this month as the run-up to Christmas is always a slow time for news, especially when Comdex has finished and the tech world is focussed on hardware rather than software or the net.

A fun show this evening. Some nice calls and a competition to give away five Xbox games. Again, it jammed the switchboard for a good 20 minutes. Competitions always amaze me.

Took in a small video camera I’d been playing with in the office. The results aren’t bad. The two clips below have been compressed and should stream off the web, so the quality isn’t great. For five minutes work, though, the results aren’t bad:

ITN : short clip showing the atrium of the ITN Building at 200 Grays Inn Road, panning down to the canteen then across to the LBC / News Direct / IRN newsroom.

Inside The Lab : filmed inside LBC studio 1 during The Lab. I’m behind the camera, narrating.
