Bad. Shoe. Day.

If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!

I’ve never been a fan of unions. They have their place, but only if used (and run) responsibly. Today, though, with the tubes on strike I can’t say I have much sympathy for the drivers’ cause. Particularly not as their gripe is that they are ‘only’ being offered a 3.5% pay increase PLUS a decrease in the length of their shifts by 2.5 hours a week. Considering they are already on over

Last time we had a tube strike I tried the 2 hour walk home, including a fairly similar route to yours. It’s amazing how long it takes to walk across the City, but also how quickly the time passes given the interesting buildings along the way. And yes, it kills your feet.

Oh, dear. Only two pairs of shoes? I’ll take you out shopping for shoes when I go to London in two months, shall I? Because you really do need more than two pairs of shoes.

Ah, shoes… Best thing you’d do is to go for some lovely Camper shoes, they feel lovely on your feet and come in all sorts of interesting designs and colours, including men’s shoes. None of my Camper shoes have ever hurt my heels, no matter how far I’ve walked in them. (I could go on for hours on this subject.)

Hope your heels heal well ;)

I love walking around London… once I realized what a small city it really is! I used to take the tube everywhere until a friend pointed out that we were only ‘five minutes walk’ from where I wanted to be and I hardly used the tube after that…
