I don’t understand why the papers are getting so het up about the referendum on the European Constitution. So Blair said we’d never get a choice but now he says we will. So what? Surely that’s a good thing, isn’t it.
Yet in spite of this the Express (the self-proclaimed best newspaper in the world) dumps the Labour Party and declares its support for the Tories.
Does that mean its issue was with us getting a choice at all? After all, it’s only when the government says have a chance to make our own feelings known that the paper turns its back on it.
Or didn’t it think things through properly?
