It’s never a good idea to leave films too long before you watch them. Especially not when everyone else has been ranting on about them for a year.

So, Finding Nemo. Very clever. Very well done. Very beautiful in places, but… well, unfulfilling. I think I expected too much, and more than once I got the feeling that certain scenes had been put in there just so the animators could show off how good they were at doing under water 3D stuff.

Perhaps it was just too good. There were whole chunks that looked like they were film, not animation. Maybe we just need to be reminded now and then that this is something very clever.

Which must mean it’s too good to be any good.

About a billion other bloggers have already posted the following image, so no doubt one of them is the clever originator of the piece.

Aww that picture, poor fishies. As the film said; fish are for friends not for food. (Did you notice the many moral messages throughout)

Moral schmoral. I eat fish and I’m proud of it. (Although I wouldn’t eat goldfish)
