Heiko has pointed to a page that gives away the end of The Matrix: Reloaded. I didn’t realise what I’d read until it was too late, but in among the rather bizarre arguments the author puts forward for not going to see the film, he does reveal one interesting fact I’d not realised:
The filmmakers have admitted that the computerized ‘Matrix’ in the first film symbolizes American technological dominance over the Islamic oppressed peoples of the world (did you notice that the name of Saddam Hussein’s three divisions of Republican Guard, the Nebuchadnezzar, Medina and Hammurabi, are also the three names of the hovercrafts in The Matrix? This is also why almost half of the human protagonists in the film are of Arabic descent).

Interesting points….but the names of the hovercrafts I’ve seen so far are the Nebuchadnezzar(an ancient Babylonian king), the Logos, the Vigilant, and the Mojinar. Where’d Medina and Hammurabi come from?
Also, its just a movie. Come on. Reading into all the tiny little symbolism of every single thing just spoils the experience. In my opinion, the Matrix is a great film, with amazing special effects and a nice storyline.

The ships i know are The Nebuchadnazzar (capt. Morpheus), The Logos (capt. Niobe),
The Mjolnir (The Hammer)(capt. Roland),
The Vigilant ( the ship that got blown up by the sentinel’s bomb)(capt. Soren) and the ship that got blown up in the animatrix The Osiris (capt. Thadius or Thadeus)
The other 5 ships I know are from reloaded and clips from the enter the matrix game. They …
