Rail crash

How depressing. 20% less trains on the network within a year. Potentially. As if they weren’t already cattle-trucks. Seems not everyone’s convinced it will happen, though. The Strategic Rail Authority, which is having serious trouble keeping the trains on track on budget made what has to be the most stupid comment of all: ‘what we are talking about is cutting their costs - not services’. Don’t the two go together. At the end of the day it all comes down to the unbalanced pricing structure of British transport. While the trains are expected to make a profit the roads - essentially free for all - are not.
