Artificial sun?

Now call me naive, but I just don’t get it. Where are they going to store this artificial sun? It’s life size. That’s going to take one hell of a big warehouse.

One Response to “The artificial sun”

Laurence Vittes says:

It’s like the Lewis Carroll bit about having constructed a 1:1 map of England which was wonderfully accurate but impractical since, when laid out, it covered the whole of the country. Here’s the entry in Wikipedia: “Lewis Carroll, in Sylvie and Bruno (1889), made the point humorously with his description of a fictional map that had “the scale of a mile to the mile.” A character notes some practical difficulties with such a map and states that “we now use the country itself, as its own map, and I assure you it does nearly as well.”
