Tony Blair calls UK election, announces the BBC. Well, we all knew it was coming. What’s worrying, though, is this part of the story:
Four opinion polls published on Tuesday suggest Labour’s lead over the Tories has slipped to between 2% and 5%. They suggest the Lib Dems trail the Tories by between 10 and 16 points.
But one of the polls also suggests the Tories are 5% ahead of Labour among those “certain to vote”.
Prime Minister Michael Howard is a scary idea. Get out there and vote, non-Tories!

What the polls indicate to me is that we are well and truly a right wing thinking country, bearing in mind the Conservative increase (despite people saying they were dead and buried), and the Labour parties continued march away from the left and centre.
