Lomo

I’ve been playing with my pictures. I read online about the Lomo effect, which at its simplest is the process of darkening the edges and brightening the middle of your images and works particularly well on anything with gaudy colours.
I’ve been trying it out on four of my photos. The first two were taken in Terezin Transit Camp in the Czech Republic. The last two were from the forests of Lithuania. In each instance, the picture on the left, while the one on the right has had the Lomo effect applied.

Hi there Nik
Clearly, the Jono Lomo effect isn’t much cop then! Your originals haven’t benefited from this piece of jiggery-pockery.
Keep up the good work and notice that I’ve not made any comment about grammar or spelling this time - sorry you got pissed off with it.

Oh Nick from Bromley where would we be without your input. You brighten up a bloggers day. It’s people like you that give us that little bit of extra effort and spur us on with such helpful comments.
P.S Can anyone help? I have my tongue stuck in my cheek.

Nick obviously knows dick about photography, because it does naturally draw your eye to the focus of the image, a basic photographic principal. I have a Russian Lomo camera that creates this effect naturally.
